Q: What led you to fall in love with game making in the first place?
A: When I was growing up, I always loved to create alternate realities in my own mind, but I had no real way to bring them to life. As I got older, when I had some free time I began to learn how to program a game, how to create the visuals, how to write a captivating story, and the passion grew from there. I ended up changing from my standard office job to creating video games for all to play. Eventually, I was contacted about an opportunity to help even more people like me create their dreams, and I accepted the job here at Void Entertainment.
Q: What has your role been at Void Entertainment?
A: Ever since I joined, I have overseen operations at Void Entertainment. First, I manage nearly every aspect of the company. I ensure that these passion projects of our developers will make it to market with great reception from our audiences. I also help with some programming myself from time to time! That is where my passion for game making started and it is good to return to my roots.

Q: How did you get associated with video game making?
A: Ever since I was a little kid, I've always loved playing video games. I especially grew fond of rhythm games, which directly led to a passion in music. I began making music on the family computer and posting it online for others to listen to. Later on, I was contacted by a small team who needed music for their new game, which is how I've ended up with a job in video game music creation.
Q: How did you get associated with the Void Developers Conference?
A: Some of my work has been published in games through Void Entertainment in the past. They have been a great company to work with and their efforts through the Void Developers Conference have inspired me and many others to keep pursuing our passions without the fear of them turning into a burden.

Q: Why do you specifically enjoy story writing?
A: I've always loved seeing characters and settings come to life. Being able to be the creator for a whole new world of ideas brings me immense joy. I got involved with video game story writing just a few years ago, when a developer had liked my work and asked if I would want to partner on a project. It is still in development, but I'm excited for what's to come!
Q: What is your favorite story you've written?
A: My favorite story was one about an astronaut who got lost on a random planet with no way to contact earth. It was honestly fun to come up with unique challenges and problems for the protagonist. I can't say much more because it could be making its way into a game soon!

Q: What is your favorite thing about programming?
A: I really love seeing my work slowly build up a virtual world in which I can choose what happens. I also love problem solving and being able to put my skills to use really gives me a sense of accomplishment.
Q: What projects have you been working on?
A: Lately, I've been working on a passion project that I've dreamed of making since I was a little kid. I've always wanted a game that utilizes movement to traverse a city. The game I am creating has parkour, grappling hooks, and other elements to allow anyone to feel as if they can travel anywhere by foot.
